THIN KING

One of the main models of Guttlin, this oddball The Thin King.   The shape of this design came about by trying to create a guitarmodel that is completely unique, not directly derived from an existing model, something that hadn't been done yet, while at the same staying in touch with the history of electric guitardesign back in the wild and playful 50's and 60's.  Also ergonomics was a main theme.

The large wing makes for an excellent support of the picking hand and arm.  The thin line construction results (nowadays mostly mahogany with a maple top) in a light weight guitar (around 3kg) that has great strap balance.
Neck: mahogany with a rosewood fretboard, 24,75" to 25,5" scale possible.
Pickups: I have used all kinds of pickups in the past. These days they come with Guttlin's own BarBar single coil pickups.
Hardware: Kluson tuners, Gotoh TOM bridge, CTS pots
All kinds of extra's: binding, custom inlays, custom knobs, B5 Bigsby, ...

These axes are very versatile, from roots to jazz, pop to rock, anything goes.
